The composer
Tap the plus button on the Posts tab to open the composer. The screen is divided into:
- Subject – optional short title for your post.
- Message – the main text body.
- Attachments – add photos from your library or take a new one.
- Audience – Ring / Group / Person selection.
- Expiration – when the content should disappear.
Adding photos
Under Attachments, you can:
- Tap Add Photos to choose one or more images from your photo library.
- Tap Take Picture to capture a new image with the camera.
After taking a picture, you may be offered the option to save it to your Photos library as well as attaching it to the post.
Choosing an audience
The Audience section lets you choose one of three modes:
- Ring – share with everyone in a selected ring level.
- Group – share with members of one or more groups.
- Person – pick specific contacts for this post.
Expiration options
When composing, you can choose how long the post should live:
- Never – keep indefinitely (up to a very long maximum).
- 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year – fixed durations.
- Custom – pick a calendar date; the post expires at the end of that day.
Once a post expires, the app will remove it from your device and request that recipients remove it during their next sync.
